Tantz is an app aimed for the vast ultra-orthodox community in the USA. The app helps its users remain up-to-date and organized with all the simchos (Jewish celebrations) that they are attending.

Our task was to design a set of icons to be used throughout the app. The icons represent specific traditional Jewish events and occasions as well as different family members. The app’s target audience, ultra orthodox Jews, is extremely conservative, creating various restrictions and challenges in the design process.

The specificity of the subject matter required a learning process. While designing the icons we wanted to ensure that they are minimal but remain clear to their target audience.
