The Israeli Biodiversity Curation Center is developing a national platform that connects biological collections, research institutions, and biodiversity data. Its audiences range from scientists and policymakers to educators, students, and the wider public.
The Challenge
IBCC needed a new identity and website to introduce the initiative while its national platform was still in development. The system had to communicate scientific credibility and technical complexity while remaining clear and accessible to audiences with very different levels of expertise.
Outcome
Branding, Logo Design, Custom Iconography, Website, Marketing Assets
Finding Opportunity in the Overlap
The logo transforms the two “C” letterforms into a Venn diagram. Their colorful intersection represents the opportunities created when institutions, disciplines, collections, and communities come together.
One Language, Many Audiences
Custom illustrations and photography make biodiversity approachable, while icons, structured layouts, and data visualization support more technical communication.
Together, these elements allow IBCC to address specialists and the public through one coherent visual system.
From Biodiversity to Data
Photography of species and landscapes gradually dissolves into a pixel grid, connecting the living world with IBCC’s work in curation and data.
The grid extends across the identity, creating a consistent framework for imagery, diagrams, and digital content.
